:: The City Where I Was ::
So I was back in the peaceful city of Ipoh just before the Hari Raya festival, and it seems that development here is picking up at a very slow pace, second to none. There were some very pleasant sights, those involving the improvement of the city.
Unfortunately the drivers remained the same. Coupled with the influx of outstation traffic, moving around this serene town was not as smooth as I would have wanted it to be.

It was in fact a stand still on Jalan Hospital and around Seenivasagam Park. So bad I wish I could just fly. KL would have been proud of the jam here!Well I guess it’s been a rather long time since I was last back in Ipoh, spending time with my family. Nowadays, it’s easier for them to come up to KL to meet up for dinner than me having to drive back down for the weekend.

Finally I had a taste of the massive LCD that my dad snapped up in Kepong a few months back. Picture clarity and sound precision was the Regza’s strong points whilst the 6.1 Philips Cineos gave a full bodied surround sound.It’s jolly high time that my parents enjoyed the fine side of life.

Short as time may be spent back here, it’s a nice and quiet town. It just grows on you. Events here aren’t out of date and it sure ain’t that to date. It’s as though Ipoh is in suspended animation. And that’s not such a bad thing anyway.Great food and slow paced lifestyle makes Ipoh….pleasant.

I’ll never forget my roots.
