:: The One with Soi 23 ::
The night of my burstday, Grace decided to literally blindfold me, bundle me into my own car and then ferry me to a surprise dinner somewhere. Having a mild motion sickness disorder, coupled with an awfully large piece of cloth covering my sight could have potentially alerted any police personel in the vicinity for a kindapping case if most of them weren’t too busy planning road blocks pre-Hindraf rally.
Riding blindfolded in a car isn’t really very comfortable; on the open road it’s ok but nearing the end of my ordeal journey it got a bit turbulent.

It has been awhile since we ate Thai cuisine and it has been approximately 2 years since we had it in Soi 23. Soi 23 together with Luna Bar (excellent place to hangout) is located in Menara PanGlobal, off Jln P. Ramlee, Kuala Lumpur.
Comtemporary décor sets scrumptious mood
The interior design of Soi 23 is very comtemporary, the lightings very dimmed just right but the air conditioning was a tad too chilly for my likings. Service from the crew was a contrast to the temperature; they were very warm and pleasant with smiling being second nature to them.
Dig into great Thai dishes!
The food was brought to the table very promptly, in just nice portions. Soi 23 boasts one of the best asian culinary with Thai flair in town and seriously, it’s a dining experience fit even for royalty!

But then again, I would not mind paying good money for really good food AND good service…

gerald : car boot? bugger. next time i cerita to you bout a car boot incident.
sha : price wise ah. parking after 7pm in menara panglobal is RM5 per entry(dont park outside).
food pricing is a little steep in comparison with other thai cuisine’s like the “Just Thai” chain. dishes here comes in either medium(2 pax) or large. their rice is delicious and their “double chilli indicator” dishes are spicy.
this dinner cost about RM 100 if not mistakened w/o drinks. prices range from RM12-RM25 per dish.
try the soup. great soup!
