:: The One with Chiling Falls ::
During the weekend, my company organized a little recreational trip under the sports club’s activities to one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the state of Selangor.

Chiling Falls is located in Kuala Kubu Baru. Road signs can be found on the trunk road from Rawang to Frazer’s Hills or from Kuala Kubu Baru to the Gap.

The Chiling Falls is considered to be of moderate difficulty as it requires an amount of hiking into the forest trek before actually reaching the famed waterfalls. Please note that Kampung Adidas (tapper shoes) and sandals/water shoes are more appropriate footwear.

Along the way to the falls itself, one has to transverse through the river 5 times in order to get to the picnic area. Depending on the weather, water height may vary from knee height to chest height. Take caution as flash-floods do happen.

The hike takes rougly an hour from the entrance to the waterfall, with several obstacles here and there but the view of the Chiling waterfalls will definately be worth the time and effort put in. One can also hike to the second fall and the upper falls to get a better view!

Chiling Falls is approximately 80 km from Kuala Lumpur minus traffic. Its a perfect getaway for those who are sick of the concrete jungle.

Getaway from jungle concrete kah…..my house is jungle enuf edi with my mom gila gardening (n I always hv to end up do all the dirty work of korek lubang, tanam new pokoks etc =.=). I also always drive very economically (The last time I ventured anywhere above 100km/h was….a veeery long time ago), heck, I’ve always taken public transport to go to KL and yet ppl (aka retarded environmentalists) still wanna criticise me for refusing to turn off lights an hour a day to reduce carbon footprint (remember that Earth 60 rubbish thing?). I’d certainly would love to hammer their anti-social-and-very-hypocritical Toyotard Rush (believe it or not, it sold more than Avanza in May) and Perodua NaughtyCar. SUVs ftl.
Couple my house’s garden with a good book or anime or J.drama, and a nicely brewed green tea perhaps, I’m in heaven
