Grace: IT DESERVED TO BE SHOT!! Pretending to be green, it’s actually more polluting to the environment than a Hummer. I’m serious, the nickel used to make the battery is from Canada (nickel mining produces lots of sulphur thus acid rain), sent to Europe to refine it, then to China to turn it into foam, then to Japan to be assembled as the battery of that ugly Toyotard Prius. Imagine the enormous CO2 expelled by the giant tankers to transport the material. Such hypocrisy, just like bee anne.
On to the local scene, just look at the fugly Vios-dugong. They’d copy the rear lights from Waja, and the gullible Msians say its beautiful la, creative la, whereas when that rear lights is on a Waja, they say ugly la, this la, that la.
Then look at the new Altis. It might as well be called a facelift rather than “all-new”, it is absolutely rubbish, f*cking overpriced, fugly, uses ancient engine n transmission, but being Msians, it sells. Ford Focus xnk beli plak.
Then there’s the Rush, oh God, I’VE NEVER HATED SUV SO MUCH!!! I hate SUVs (but for reasons other than for killing polar bear), but then there’s Rush. Absolute pretender, just a poser, f*cking overpriced, rubbish interior, rubbish engine, fugliest crappy “design”, that is if it can actually be considered “designed” (more like a lazy sketch made during lunch break). And yet it sells.
And yes, I hate its Msian proxy, beruktua. One is a frog-face elephant-butt best-seller (again), another is an overpriced tin can. Oh, they also have a made-in-japan Rush called naughtycar, it’s just a bloody waste of money, n yet, I’ve spotted 4 so far. These owners doesn’t deserve to receive subsidised petrol cuz they just hv no friggin intelligence at all abt what to do when they have money.

But in all fairness la, out of all the cars that my family has gotten over the years, the Toyota is the one with the least amount of problems. This is compared to the Honda, the Volvo and the Merc…
grey : you know that is strange. most of the cars here in msia regardless of car make actually use identical parts cuz they are manufactured and distributed from the same factory.

Kev: True also… But still, you would think that you pay so much for a Merc, and the fact that the Volvo is touted as the safest car in the world, and has one of the best customer support, that it would sucks so bad compared to the Toyota. Which brings up the question, if most of these cars are made from almost identical, if not identical, parts, why does one brand suck so much compared to the other?
grey : merc also got probs. volvo makan minyak like babi. bmw also got probs. just that no one complains bout it as much as they bitch bout proton.
1) in msia the majority of cars are proton. so majority bising sure la all will know. the minority bising who cares?
2) i guess in this context its the way ppl treat their belongings, no? kalau merc/bmw, everyday sayang, drive also tekan sayang sikit. kalau proton, bash kow kow. i gather ppl are rougher with protons that any other car.

I disagree with the way ppl treat their belongings argument. My parents and I damn sayang when drive the merc, but got problem with the gearbox. I whack my Satria when got empty road, not to mention the torture of driving to semenyih, the most I got was my air filter need a complete change…

But you are right tho, it also depends on the car itself, regardless of the make. If the car is perfect, even a proton can outlast a merc+bmw+volvo combined… It all comes down to the luck you have when gettin your car…
grey : btw, the reason why i dont like the prius is….even wondered how the battery came about? mined from canada, flown to europe to do some foaming thing, then back to japan for whatever. you tambah all the emission from the plane and then compare with the emission from the stupid hybrid. its better if you get a green engine diesel car like the kangoo/golf.

Grace: Ohhh….u hv absolutely no idea how passionate I am at hating toyotards…. except for estima maybe. But then again, I don’t see the point of owning an MPV for me….yet.
But then again, if I can have more choices for an MPV, I’d take the Ford S-Max.

I wouldn’t even attempt destroying Hilux :S Simply the most un-kill-able truck ever!! Just a waste of time to even try to.

Nope, nope, nope, hm….GS hybrid sure is tempting….hm….bt unlike London we dun hv congestion charge so it has no advantage here; I’d rather take the CLS63 AMG then, and nope.
The only Lexus I like is the LS460L, bcuz a Lexus is all abt comfort, n the LS460L is as good as it gets, completely uncompromised. It’s just silly for Lexus to become “sporty”.
