Dug out an old picture I took quite some time ago.
Was taking a drive around PJ that day when I decided to check my tyre pressure at Shell opposite UM’s KFC. This lady KFC manager took her own sweet time to main her precious talipon before even moving her heavy bottom out of her “hot” Daihatsu Charade.
Me, being hot tempered, started to get impatient and agitated.
Well, until I saw this.
50psi/344.74kPa if not mistakened, is the maximum pressure imprinted on the tyre wall (read:maksudnya maks you taruh is 50psi).
I started laughing my ass off.

gerald, sha, grace : but somehow i feel pity for most malaysian drivers. we were never thought how much to pump for tires! bukan semua kereta ada that sticker on the door panel tau!
tokmoh : yes, it saves petrol but only marginal savings. whats the point of saving the cents when
1) over inflating wears the middle body of the tyre
2) at max pressure, driving fast builds temperature = mampus
3) tire wear outweighs petrol savings.
4) blardy bumpy ride/hurts the rims.

Maybe she’s trying to drift? More pressure in the tires means less contact with the road. Which equals to less traction and more sliping n sliding! You did noticed that her ride was ‘hot’. lol.
