APA HANTU TU?

The Tiger Blogfest 2010 is a week in April where bloggers blog about the need to protect our tigers.  It is an avenue for the blogging community to contribute towards protecting our national heritage.  It is purely voluntary.  It is not a competition, there are no prizes.  It is simply bloggers expressing concern for our tigers aimed at raising awareness about the need to protect our remaining tigers.  The target is to get 100 blogs to participate.

19 – 23 April 2010 (Monday – Friday). This week was chosen because it coincides with the Earth Day on 22 April.

Post an entry in your blog about the tiger. Tell a story, write a poem, post a technical paper, draw cartoons, compose a song, relate your personal experience – anything as long as it conveys the message about the need to protect our tigers.  There is no specific format or length for your story. You are encouraged to post as many entries as you like.  It would be nice if everyone can post at least two entries, one on the 19th April and the other towards end of that week. (if you can’t, one entry is fine) You can plan and prepare ahead of time.  Your first entry must be made on 19th April, preferably before 9.00 a.m.

This reminded me of failblog, Malaysia Boleh style – KANTOI.

So tenaga bill came bout and this time the amount was slightly more that what the tenaga fella estimates for me.

Went out to check and realized that I only used 25091 units (end of the month) while the tenaga bill estimated me to 25142 (51 units more).

Notice the previous bill ended at 24860 units, even if added another 200 units it would amount to 25060 units (more than what I have used when I got the bill in the middle of the month).

Here is where its unfair.  After the 1st 200 units, charges for each subsequent unit increases.

Even if Tenaga does counter check the over estimation in units in the following month, they have already untung-ed from the increase in charge rates after the 1st 200 units.

Pandai kan?

Wanted to bring up this issue via formal complaint means but I stumbled upon this in Tenaga’s webbie.

The reading of TNB’s meter will be carried out once in every two months but consumers will receive TNB bill every month as usual.

When a consumer’s meter is read in a particular month, no reading shall be carried out in the following month. However, an Office Bill (O) will be issued.

After each meter reading, N code (normal) or E code (estimate) bill shall be issued and for the month when the meter is not read at the consumer’s premise, the Office Bill (O) will be issued.

The Office Bill (O) is an estimated bill issued by TNB office based on the previous 6 months’ average consumption.

The adjustments on the Office Bill (O) will be issued once the actual reading has been made.

The E code bill will be issued when no meter reading is carried out at the premise due to the absence of the occupant at home.

The fuel we are using right now, RON97 will be priced much higher (presumingly 25cents more than RON95). Now thats the Govt’s way of screwing you sideways, nice and deep into the ribs where it hurts the most.

Since I wouldn’t be around to get skru-ed next month, I paid a visit to BHP Kayu Ara to get a taste of RON95 before hand.

And yes, RON95 selamat digunakan untuk keretamu unless you drive some sports sedan.  Refer to your petrol cap or manual.  Performance and consumption is minimal, at best.  So stop complaining.

Generally, my car drinks around 45L – 60L of petrol at every pump interval.  Simple maths will compute :

45L x 1.80 (existing RON97 price) = RM 81.00

45L x 1.75 (RON95 price) = RM 78.75

45L x 2.00 (RON97 after RON95) = RM 90.00

So yes.  Continue to support BN in the next general elections please.

Was taking a drive around PJ that day when I decided to check my tyre pressure at Shell opposite UM’s KFC.  This lady KFC manager took her own sweet time to main her precious talipon before even moving her heavy bottom out of her “hot” Daihatsu Charade.

Me, being hot tempered, started to get impatient and agitated.

Well, until I saw this.
